Mark thrives on asking the hard questions to hone strategy and convert that thinking into practical action. For 20 years he worked with mission-driven organizations to craft and execute winning communications strategies on issues ranging from clean energy, coal and oil export, to salmon recovery, wildlife protection, land use policy and forest management reform. His practice areas span everything from message development, opinion research and communications planning, to traditional and online media strategy and outreach, materials development and communications skills training.
Recent highlights of Mark's work at Resource Media include working for the last five years with an inspiring team of conservation, Tribal and community leaders to keep the Northwest from becoming a throughway for coal and oil exports. He has also been fortunate to work on protecting British Columbia, Alaska and the Great Northwest from irresponsible mining, logging and oil and gas drilling. Before joining the Resource Media team in 2005 Mark directed communications and outreach for numerous regional non-profit organizations, including the NW Energy Coalition.
