Belinda's background as a direct action campaigner, journalist and lawyer makes her appreciate the power of both the inside and the outside games. With two decades of progressive communications work under her belt, including 10 at Resource Media and 10 in racial justice organizing and electoral campaigning, she is even more fired up to build a just and sustainable world. She has a passion for building personal and community resilience as we navigate the huge challenges of the transition to a life-sustaining world.
Belinda started out as a cub reporter, and moved on to become a city editor, campaign communications director for progressive candidates and ballot measures, and a lawyer and mediator along the way. Her work today is heavily focused on water and climate change, with a special focus on water justice and water scarcity in the West. She loves the deep dive communications and cognitive research, and delights in bringing smart campaigning approaches to our partners through trainings and one-on-one support.
