21st Century Pollution Solutions

Restoring Puget Sound—and addressing the polluted runoff from the paved paradise surrounding it—is a key concern for Washington scientists, politicians and citizens. One of the most promising answers lies in green infrastructure: rain gardens, green roofs, pervious pavement and more. They reduce flooding, "calm" traffic, increase property values, trees, and open space, and beautify an area while building community. Resource Media is coming up with creative solutions to spur greater adoption of this 21st century solution to pollution.
