  • Resource Media stands in solidarity with all people seeking abortion care

    May 18, 2022

    Issues

Resource Media unapologetically stands in solidarity with all people seeking abortion care. We are stalwart supporters of abortion, health equity, and bodily autonomy.

We fully support our staff, partners, and community members’ right to make life decisions about their bodies, families, sexuality, gender, and reproduction — without criminalization — while also respecting the right to privacy and religious freedom for all.

As the U.S. Supreme Court appears likely to betray these fundamental civil rights, Resource Media is poised to support and take on our share of the hard work to ensure reproductive justice for all people — especially for marginalized women, LGBTQ+ people, people of color, young people, low-income people, immigrants, and people living in rural areas.

We proudly work with our partners to support access to abortion for all. This includes people who self-manage abortion, which is a safe and trusted option for many as we shift toward a post-Roe era. In addition, we will continue our work to build supportive communities where it is safer to have children — with a clean and healthy environment, equitable access to healthcare, childcare, affordable housing, and other elements of a just society.

As an organization, Resource Media is committing up to $30,000 of our Equity Impact Program funds to work pro bono with grassroots reproductive justice and abortion-access groups throughout 2022. We welcome inquiries from individuals and organizations who could benefit from our strategic communications services. Resource Media is also reviewing our parental and family leave policies to become more equitable and more supportive of our staff’s reproductive decisions.

As individuals, we will continue to show up personally in our communities to struggle against all forms of racism, injustice, and oppression.
